  7. Software through Pictures is a family of integrated CASE environments
  8. supporting the complete software development process. The base environment of
  9. Software through Pictures is comprised of an integrated family of graphical
  10. editors, a document preparation system, version control, locking and access
  11. control, and object annotation, all sharing a common repository. It also
  12. includes facilities to generate code from designs and reverse engineer designs
  13. from code. The Software through Pictures graphical editors support both
  14. structured and object-oriented development methods. Extensive programs for
  15. checking design rules verify the completeness and consistency of diagrams. IDE
  16. developed Software through Pictures based upon an open architecture called
  17. Visible Connections. All tool interfaces and file formats, as well as the
  18. repository schema, are published and easily accessible. This allows users to
  19. extend and customize their environments, as well as integrate with other tools.
